Once again the Chelsea Co-operative and the Blue Angel Poets’ Dive are proud to present Chelsea’s Art Walk where the artists of the Chelsea Galleries come together to display select representative pieces during the Virtual Hotel Chelsea’s birthday celebrations.
The excitement doesn’t last just one day, the Art Walk’s official show dates extend from June 21st through July 18th and includes the 5th Poets’ Art Ekphrastic Poetry Contest hosted by current Blue Angel host, Persephone Phoenix, and the poets of the Chelsea’s Sunday Spoken Word and weekly Sunday Blue Angel Poets’ Dive Open Mic events and beyond.

This event will give birthday party celebrants and guests a chance to view work by physical world and Second Life artists placed along the avenue which replicates New York’s iconic Hotel Chelsea, a bohemian art mecca.

Most importantly get landmarks to the artist’s gallery(ies) and become an investor and patron of the SL arts scene.
We hope attendees will be inspired by one or all of the displays to write an ekphrastic poem, trying to get inside the art or the artist’s head and create a prize winner for the Ekphrastic Poetry Contest.

Our celebration coincides with the June rez day of Enola Vaher and is dedicated to her memory, a much loved and valued member of the Chelsea dream and management team from her joining the community in 2008 until her passing in January 2020.
We hope you will be impressed, and as excited as we are, to discover and rediscover the talents of the artists, poets, and creators of the Virtual Hotel Chelsea in Second Life.
