On May 23 the virtual Hotel Chelsea, with the guidance of Art Director Anibrm Jung, proudly hosted the opening of Vita Theas‘ exhibition entitled “VITA’S CAMERA” at the hotel’s premier gallery: Gallery 23.
As well as marveling at the images Vita had chosen to exhibit, attendees were treated to the beguiling voice and guitar of Justine, creating a fitting ambiance with which to browse the worlds of SL through Vita’s unique perspective.
The exhibition will run until June 18, 2023. Gallery 23 is just a few doors down from the entrance to the Hotel – which is a SL icon and a near perfect replica of the real life hotel on 222 West 23rd Street, New York City.
Entering the gallery, you find yourself encountering a sometime gentle, sometime quirky and at all times unique perspective of SL informed by Vita’s feelings and artistic eye. Vita puts it bet in her own words:
“My aim is to share my emotions through my photos, showing what I see, what I like, the surprise I still feel by discovering new fantastic Second Life creations. I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I am able to tap into my imagination and align my photography with my dreams.”
Vita’s work has been exhibited throughout SL in numerous exhibitions but she has previously shied away from an exhibition solely focused on her works alone.
Vita first arrived in SL more than 15 years ago and has worked as manager and curator of the Serena Art Center for more than 13 of those years. In addition Vita has also worked s a sim landscaper/builder and is a talented clothes designer.
