The Virtual Presence of the Historic New York City Bohemian Refuge
Built in New York City between 1883 and 1885, the original Hotel Chelsea has been a home and inspiration to generations of artists and writers, from Mark Twain and Tennessee Williams to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.
Re-created in Second Life by Mykal Skall in 2009 and passionately managed by the late Enola Em Vaher, the virtual Hotel Chelsea seeks to continue the vibrant Bohemian tradition for visitors and residents alike.

Limerick of the Year 2024 : Competition Closing Date: February 1, 2024
At last – your chance for immortality and glory!
All entries will be entered into the Limerick of the Year 2024 Thinc book (or equivalent).
After the competition is finished (March) it will be made available to all entrants as a trans/copy no mod Thinc book (or equivalent).

Today, June 6, is enola em Vaher’s
Rez Day
Today, June 6th, enola em Vaher would be 16 in SL years.
For over a decade, enola oversaw the running of the virtual Hotel Chelsea. She came to find a social outlet and became loved by SL artists, poets and musicians.

This video of the virtual Hotel Chelsea in Second Life was shot in 2019 and narrated by Enola em Vaher. It provides a glimpse into the values and passion that still guides the present day hotel and surrounding galleries.
