About Pepper...
A resident since March 2007, Pepper Chaffe is one of Second Life’s many artists, creating her first serious sculpture in December of 2009. Currently residing and working on the Hot Topics sim, her other interests are music, dance, sailing and visiting the many fine art galleries that can be found within Second Life.
Combining a love of art with the desire to create, Pepper soon found herself immersed in the creation of several sculptures. At the urging of some friends, she decided to open a gallery of her own and began displaying some of those creations.
Pepper uses the tools within second life and with the occasional use of sculpty programs, she set out to fulfill her dream; to create art that is visually appealing, has a feeling of simplicity and fits well in a variety of settings. Each of her sculptures seems to develop its own “personality” during the creation process, often revealing her many moods and innermost feelings. The end result, are sculptures that are visually appealing and evoke the curiosity of the viewer.
Some of the artists who have inspired her include, but are not limited to: Garofalo, Carriera, Trevisani and Reni as well as some of the contemporary artists found in Second Life; Filthy Fluno (Jeffrey Lipsky) of Artropolis, Scotj Criss of the Criss Gallery, Francis Bagration of the Gallery of the Awesome and Whet Snoodle of the Endless Possibilities Gallery.
In addition to some of her earlier exhibits such as Lollygaggers, The Galley of the Awesome and The Environment for Creative Minds at Coyote (sadly, Gallery of the Awesome and Coyote are now gone from SL), DNA Music and Art Fusion, Pepper’s work can be viewed at:
- The Pepper Gallery (main gallery), located on the Hot Topics sim.
- Transcendental Studios (located in Lanestris)
- Gallery 23
